The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriots swim team is pleased to announce the addition of two new swimmers to the men's team. Sam Hoeferle and Kyle May will be joining the Patriots Swim Team in the 2011-2012 season.
Hoeferle reigns from Cicero, Indiana and is the son of Stephen and Alice Hoeferle. He attends Hamilton High School where he currently swims the butterfly for his school team. "Sam will step in and be our top flyer," said University of the Cumberlands Interim Swimming Coach Edward VonHertsenberg. "He will also add depth to our IM races and help strengthen our relays."
Kyle May comes from Lagrango, KY and is the son of Anthony and Carrie May. He attends Oldham County High School where he swims mostly sprint races. "Kyle will add depth to our sprint free style events," commented VonHertsenberg. "He has a lot of potential due to his work ethic and being relatively new to the sport. We look forward to seeing Kyle develop over the years for UC."
As the year progresses, the Patriots Swim Team will continue to build on their roster for next season. For more information on the swimming program or other Patriot Athletics, go to
