Earlier this week the Women's College Wrestling Association (WCWA) individual college rankings were released for women's wrestling. Several of the women wrestlers representing the University of the Cumberlands (UC) were honored with rankings in the top eight for their respective weight classes.

The rankings are broken up into ten weight classes and UC had several women representing each weight class.

Starting off the rankings in the 44kg weight class ranked number four is Ashley Campos (Houston, TX) followed closely by Opelia Felipe (Rome, GA) ranked number eight. In the 48kg weight class Jessica Nguyen (Houston, TX) ranked sixth and Milagros Zamora (Miami, FL) was ranked eighth. Representing the 51kg class for the Patriots is Gabrielle Henry (Columbus, OH) ranked in second place. In the 55kg weight class Patriots are represented by Lisa Guiterez (El Paso, TX) who is ranked sixth. Cianah Hee (Honolulu, HI) is ranked fifth and Breisja Macera (Kissimmee, FL) is ranked number seventh in the 59kg weight class.

Representing the 63kg weight class ranked fourth is Lauren Louive (Massilon, OH). The 67kg weight class had three Patriots standing in the rankings. Christen Paysse (Fullerton, CA) ranked second, Paige Rife (Fowlerville, MI) raked fifth, and Megan Agajanian (Moorpark, CA) ranked seventh. The 72kg weight class was represented by Brittany Gadd (Mercer, PA) in fourth and the 80kg weight class was represented by Teri Milkoff (Los Angeles, CA) ranked sixth. To finish out the rankings for the Patriots in the 90kg weight class was Lakia Henderson (Osceola, FL) ranked second.

Up next for the women's wrestling team is the Sunkist Open on October 15, 2010 as the Patriots look to excel and move up in the current rankings.
