Branscum said “Golf has always been a huge part of my life and having the opportunity to continue playing at the college level is very exciting. I am looking forward to working with my new teammates and accomplishing great things. I see the University of the Cumberlands as not only a place where I can succeed in golf, but also in my academics. UC is definitely the right place for me.”

Head Coach Chris Kraftick is excited about the new addition to the team. “I have known Chelsea and her family for many years and we are really excited to bring her into our program. She is a gifted student and very talented player. I have always been impressed with her demeanor and attitude on the course and she has the one thing we look for in every recruit, she loves to play golf.”
