The Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association recently named its 2008 Kentucky All State Team. The University of the Cumberlands had three signees who received recognition by the state's coaches.
Catcher Jordan Barker (Clark County High School) was named second team All State. Pitcher Cory Brewer (Powell County High School) and infielder Peyton Martin (Raceland) were named to the All State Honorable Mention Team. These three stellar athletes will be joining the Patriot team this fall.
University of the Cumberlands Head Baseball Coach Brad Shelton said, "I am happy for these three guys and the honor they received. We knew they were some of the top players in the state when we were recruiting them, so I am not surprised that the state's coaches recognized that. I am looking forward to working with these guys and watching them mesh with our returning players."
