This past weekend the men and women’s golf teams traveled to Georgetown, KY where they competed in the Bluegrass Fall Classic hosted by Georgetown College.
The men’s team fared well as two of the competitors placed in the top ten and one in the top 15. The Patriots brought in a score of 601, following behind number one Lindsey Wilson with a score of 573 and Cumberland University with a score of 595.
Top finishers for the Patriots were Eric King (Ferguson, KY) (72-74-146) who tied for fifth place. Justin Price (Somerset, KY) (72-76-148) who tied for seventh place, and Eric Fuldner (Alexandria, KY) (76-75-151) who tied for 12th place. Fuldner finished with a career high. Price also finished with a career high and a career low of 72 for his first round. Other Patriot finishers were Willis Ring (Whitesburg, KY) (76-80-156), and Michael Peters (London, KY) (81-83-164).
For the Patriot ladies, Jennifer Kieffer (Rockford, IL) lead with a sixth place finish (82-84-166) and newcomer Dawn Hovda (Springfield, OH) added a (99-103-202). Kieffer, along with King both were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Patriot Men and Women’s golf teams are both currently competing in the Campbellsville Invitational.
