The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriot Softball team traveled to Portsmouth, OH on Monday April 21st to take on the Bears of Shawnee State University.  The Mid-South Conference (MSC) match up would prove to be an exciting one for both teams as Cumberlands took the first game after 9 innings of play with a final score of 5-2, and Shawnee State took the second game with a final score of 9-1.  After this match up, the Patriots move to 14-27 on the season and 11-17 in MSC play.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Bowling team is coming off a very successful inaugural season in Williamsburg as they competed in the NAIA National Invitational Tournament.  With numerous athletes returning for next season, Coach Kevin Reigle is looking to add to a very good roster as he hits the recruiting trail.  The Patriots are pleased to announce the signing of Valerie Henry for next season.

Baseball - Sun, Apr. 20, 2014

On Friday April 18th, the University of the Cumberlands (UC) baseball team hosted Mid-South Conference (MSC) foe St. Catharine College at Doyle Buhl Stadium. The Patriots put together one of their best weekends of the season picking up a game one win 2-1, losing game two 5-4, and then clinching the series with a game three win 7-2.
